You Are the Gold Standard

THE PLAYERS Championship calls its volunteer program "Our Gold Standard" — and that is not just a tagline. It is a promise. When you put on the PLAYERS volunteer polo and step onto the grounds of TPC Sawgrass, you become part of something bigger than any single shift or committee assignment. You join a community of thousands who share a passion for the game of golf, a love for Northeast Florida, and a commitment to delivering the best fan experience in professional sports.

A Community Celebration

THE PLAYERS Championship is more than a golf tournament. It is a week-long celebration that brings together fans, athletes, and volunteers from all walks of life. Each year, THE PLAYERS designates a different local charity as the "Charity of the Day" from Tuesday through Sunday, shining a spotlight on organizations like First Tee, Community PedsCare, the Wounded Warrior Foundation, the Jacksonville Humane Society, the MaliVai Washington Youth Foundation, and the Five Star Veterans Center. THE PLAYERS has also invested hundreds of thousands of dollars in the community, including a $600,000 commitment to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida to fund the construction of a new Teen Center in St. Augustine. As a volunteer, you are a part of all of that. Your service fuels the tournament's ability to give back.

The championship also features Military Appreciation Day, honoring military personnel and veterans with a ceremony on the iconic Island Green 17th Hole, followed by a live concert. Volunteers at the Patriots' Outpost and across the grounds help make this tribute possible.

PLAYERS Pride

PLAYERS Pride represents everyone's responsibility to provide the best fan experience in golf. We ask all attendees — fans, vendors, and volunteers alike — to help deliver a showcase of excellence by keeping the course beautiful, clean, and safe. Etiquette and respect for fellow competitors is one of the first things golfers learn when playing the sport, and we hope that our volunteers will apply those same standards during tournament week.

Each day, Committee Chairs nominate a volunteer on their committee who exemplifies PLAYERS Pride. Select volunteers are awarded a PLAYERS Pride pin in recognition of their outstanding attitude and effort.
