Registration for THE PLAYERS Championship volunteer program opens in the fall and fills up quickly. The process is staggered to ensure that returning leadership and veteran volunteers have the opportunity to secure their spots before registration opens to the broader community.
Key Registration Dates
- Volunteer Leadership Registration: October 7, 2026 Committee Chairs, Assistant Chairs, and other volunteer leadership team members may register beginning on this date.
- Returning Volunteer Registration: October 28, 2026 If you volunteered with THE PLAYERS Championship in a prior year, you are eligible to register starting on this date. Returning volunteers are the backbone of this program, and early access is our way of thanking you for your continued commitment.
- New Volunteer Registration: November 11, 2026 New to THE PLAYERS volunteer family? Welcome! Registration opens for first-time volunteers on this date. Spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and certain committees fill up fast, so we encourage you to register as soon as possible.
Tournament Dates
The 2027 PLAYERS Championship will take place March 9–14, 2027 at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Volunteer shifts will span the full tournament week, from practice rounds through the final round on Sunday. Some committees require availability prior to tournament week for set-up, construction, and uniform distribution — committee-specific scheduling details will be shared after registration.
What to Expect After You Register
Once you have completed your registration, you will receive confirmation along with details about your committee assignment. In the weeks leading up to the tournament, you will receive the weekly Volunteer Spotlight emails with important updates on uniform distribution, training schedules, parking and transportation, volunteer perks, and everything else you need to know to be ready for championship week. Your Committee Chair will also reach out directly with committee-specific information and expectations.
