Welcome to THE PLAYERS Family

Welcome to THE PLAYERS Championship volunteer team. Whether this is your first time volunteering at a professional golf tournament or your first year with THE PLAYERS, we are grateful to have you with us. We view THE PLAYERS as a big family — one built on service, pride, friendship, and a shared commitment to creating a world-class experience for players, fans, guests, and one another.

New Volunteer Registration

New volunteer registration opens November 11, 2026. When you register, you will select the specific dates and times you are available to work. Volunteers must register for a minimum of three shifts, including at least one tournament-day shift between Thursday and Sunday. Certain committees and shift times fill quickly, so we encourage new volunteers to register as soon as registration opens.

New Volunteer Breakfast Mixer

On Saturday, March 6, 2027, during volunteer uniform pick-up, we will host a New Volunteer Breakfast Mixer with our Committee Chairs. This is a great opportunity to meet members of the volunteer leadership team, ask questions, learn more about your committee, and get a better feel for what tournament week will look like. We want every new volunteer to feel informed, welcomed, and ready before stepping onto the course.

New Volunteer Steak Dinner

On Wednesday evening of tournament week, March 10, 2027, we will host a steak dinner for new volunteers in Darlene's Diner. Please keep an eye out for your invitation so that you can attend. We would love to meet you, thank you in person, and welcome you into THE PLAYERS family.

Volunteer Opportunities Beyond Tournament Week

Being part of THE PLAYERS family does not begin and end with tournament week. Throughout the year, there are volunteer opportunities and community moments that bring our PLAYERS family together outside of the championship itself. New volunteers are encouraged to take part whenever possible — it is one of the best ways to meet fellow volunteers, build friendships, and feel connected to the larger mission of THE PLAYERS.

New Volunteer Quick Guide

  • Where do I park? Volunteers park at Davis Park. Your volunteer credential will act as your parking pass, and shuttle service will bring volunteers from Davis Park to TPC Sawgrass and back.
  • When should I arrive? Traffic can be heavy during tournament week. Please plan to arrive at Davis Park at least one hour before your scheduled shift so you have time to park, ride the shuttle, enter through the Volunteer Only Entrance, check in, and get to your committee location.
  • What do I wear? Wear your official PLAYERS volunteer shirt with khaki pants, shorts, skirt, skort, or capris. Cargo-style bottoms are not permitted. Please wear comfortable, close-toed shoes; spikeless golf shoes are permitted.
  • Where do I eat? Volunteers have access to Darlene's Diner, a discounted food option located in Volunteer Village. Darlene's Diner is a gathering place for volunteers and a great spot to grab breakfast, lunch, coffee, or a quick break during the day.
  • Where can I find important information? The Volunteer Manual includes important details regarding on-site information, tournament policies, digital training, Volunteer Village, and other key resources. We recommend bookmarking the volunteer manual and checking it regularly as tournament week approaches.
