Getting There
Where do I park?
Volunteers park at Davis Park. Your volunteer credential will act as a parking pass to access Davis Park. A shuttle will bring volunteers to TPC Sawgrass from Davis Park and back. The Davis Park Parking Lot is located at 210 Davis Park Rd., Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32081. Please note that the General Parking Lot on-site is paid parking for spectators during tournament week.
Where is Volunteer Village?
Volunteer Village is located just inside the Volunteer Only Entrance. Volunteers will walk from the shuttle drop-off and enter through the dedicated volunteer-only line located to the left of Volunteer Village.
Uniforms & Credentials
When and where do I pick up my uniform?
Volunteer Uniform Distribution is held in Volunteer Village on designated dates prior to tournament week. Sign-up dates and times are available on a first-come, first-served basis, with a limit of 50 people per thirty-minute time slot. If your committee has an on-site training, we recommend signing up for a uniform pick-up time that coincides with your scheduled training. If you are unable to attend Uniform Distribution, both your uniform package and volunteer credential will be available for pick-up on-site in Volunteer Village prior to your first shift.
What if I can't make any of the available pick-up times?
We recommend having a family member or friend pick up your Uniform Package for you during pick-up hours. If that is not possible, your package will be available in Volunteer Village prior to your first shift.
Can I exchange my uniform if the size is wrong?
Yes. If you need to change sizes after you pick up your uniform, exchanges can be made in Volunteer Village beginning the Tuesday before tournament rounds.
Can I purchase additional apparel?
Yes. Additional apparel can be purchased online via the registration website. There is a cutoff date for online orders, so please check the volunteer website for the current deadline.
On-Site Policies
What is the mobile device policy?
Your device must be on silent at all times, and flash may not be used. No live streaming or real-time coverage is allowed. Data use such as texting is permitted in all areas throughout tournament week, but phone calls are allowed only in designated areas. Please be respectful of play and do not interfere with players, caddies, or media. Failure to comply with this policy may result in the revocation of your volunteer credential.
What items are prohibited on course?
Prohibited items include point-and-shoot, film, or DSLR cameras (during competition rounds), video cameras (all week), signs, posters, banners, televisions, radios, beverages, containers, coolers, pets, bicycles, ladders, weapons (regardless of permit), lounge or oversized chairs with extended foot rests, and seat cushions in a carrying case.
Committee Training
Does my committee have a training session?
Not all volunteer committees have training. On-site trainings are typically held in conjunction with Volunteer Uniform Distribution. If you have questions regarding your committee's volunteer training or meeting location, please contact your Committee Chair.
What if I cannot make my committee training?
If you are unable to attend your committee training, please notify your Committee Chair to ensure you receive all necessary information regarding your committee responsibilities. If you have yet to receive communication from your Chair, check your spam folder. Otherwise, the volunteer support team is happy to help connect you.
Dining
Where do I eat during my shift?
Darlene's Diner is your home for meals during tournament week, located in Volunteer Village. Breakfast and lunch are offered at discounted prices, and the diner is credit card only. If you are unable to return to Darlene's Diner for lunch, your Committee Chair will provide a lunch voucher good for a discounted meal at participating concession stands. Note that vouchers are only provided to certain committees and are not accepted at local food partners.
Inclement Weather
What happens if the weather turns bad?
Observe the leaderboards throughout the golf course for "Weather Warning" signs that will appear prior to inclement weather moving into the area. Please do not assume that play will be cancelled if it rains — continue to report for your assigned duty unless noted otherwise. Weather updates will be posted on THE PLAYERS social media outlets. In the event of a course evacuation, your Committee Chair will communicate the necessary evacuation procedures and locations.
Lost & Found
What do I do if I lose something on course?
For same-day lost items, visit the Spectator Information Booth near the Nicklaus Gate for assistance. For items lost on a prior day, call 1-800-404-7887 to see if your item has been found.
