The Players Championship Invests $600,000 in Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida to Build New Teen Center

ST. AUGUSTINE, FL – The Players Championship has announced a transformational $600,000 donation to Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida (BGCNF) to help fund the construction of a new Teen Center in St. Augustine. This state-of-the-art facility is part of a $1.2 million project to expand access to vital programs and services for local youth.

To mark the special occasion, The Players hosted a festive event featuring a pizza party, Rita’s Italian Ice, interactive golf games, a bounce house, and music. The celebration brought together club members, staff, and community members to commemorate this impactful milestone in a fun and engaging way.

In addition to The Players Championship's contribution, the project has already secured $200,000 from an anonymous donor, bringing the total funds raised to $800,000. The proposed Teen Center will significantly enhance the club’s ability to serve the community, increasing capacity from 20 to approximately 75 teens every day after school.

The new Teen Center will feature expanded areas for academic support, leadership development, and recreational activities. It will serve as a hub for preparing teens for success in school, career, and life while offering them a supportive community to explore their potential.
