PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Florida – As part of its ongoing commitment to the military, THE PLAYERS Championship has announced its plans to honor and pay tribute to Northeast Florida’s brave active-duty service members and veterans.

In 2023, THE PLAYERS hosted more than 22,000 military members and their families in the Patriots’ Outpost and looks forward to welcoming them once again. “The entire team here at THE PLAYERS is proud to honor those who have sacrificed so much for not only our Northeast Florida community, but for our country,” said Lee Smith, Executive Director of THE PLAYERS. “We are so excited to honor and thank our brave active-duty service members and veterans with these special initiatives throughout the course of the tournament.”

The ceremony will feature a performance of the Star-Spangled Banner by Matthew Johnson, winner of THE PLAYERS National Anthem Contest and former contestant on "The Voice,” and will culminate with a concert featuring multi-Platinum country star Cole Swindell.
