THE PLAYERS Championship Launches New Volunteer Registration on November 2
PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Florida – On Wednesday, November 2, THE PLAYERS Championship will begin accepting applications for new volunteers interested in joining the team of nearly 2,000 volunteers who support all facets of the PGA TOUR’s flagship event. THE PLAYERS 2023 will take place on March 7-12, and the link for volunteer registration is theplayers.com/volunteer
Volunteering at THE PLAYERS is an unparalleled experience for not only golf fans, but also those looking to support an event that gives millions of dollars back to the community, learn invaluable skills, network with local leaders and be an integral part of one of the world’s premier sporting events.
“Running an event of this magnitude relies heavily on the support of great partners and dedicated volunteers. Northeast Florida has proven its solid track record of support in these areas through previous events, and we’re looking for that same great energy for this year’s tournament in March,” said Houston Bowles, 2023 tournament chairman.
Volunteers at THE PLAYERS are placed into committees, with jobs ranging from on-course duties like serving as a marshal or walking scorer to support roles that involve assisting players and fans, such as admissions and player/caddie services.
“Being a volunteer at THE PLAYERS is sort of like getting a backstage pass at a concert. I had such a great time at THE PLAYERS last year that I already have a countdown on my phone for THE PLAYERS 2023,” Lila Weaver, a sophomore at Creekside High School, remarked about her volunteer experience at THE PLAYERS.
