Giving Back Month celebrations begin

A local 19 year-old battling Acute Lymphoblastic Lymphoma, and his family, received a surprise visit from Jim Furyk and an all-inclusive trip to the Hawaii and the Hyundai Tournament of Champions.

As part of THE PLAYERS Charity Celebration on Nov. 11, PGA TOUR Commissioner Tim Finchem will announce the charitable total generated from the 2015 tournament, which is expected to surpass the record set last year of $7.5 million. The Charity Celebration will take place under the lights at the 17th hole on THE PLAYERS Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass.

Dreams Come True

THE PLAYERS volunteer leadership – the Red Coats – accompanied by PGA TOUR player Jim Furyk kick off Giving Back Month at the TPC Sawgrass Clubhouse to host a “Dream Party” for Dreams Come True. The dreamer – a local 19 year-old battling Acute Lymphoblastic Lymphoma – and his family received a surprise visit from Jim Furyk and an all inclusive trip to the Hawaii and the Hyundai Tournament of Champions. In addition to the dream fulfillment, THE PLAYERS made an additional surprise donation to Dreams Come True.

Angelwood

The Red Coat Ride Out tradition continued with a special visit to Angelwood, a local organization committed to improving the quality of life for children and adults with developmental disabilities and their families. Angelwood assists families in caring for the special needs of their loved ones across their lifespan through a variety of programs suited to each person's individual goals.
